CORE Erosion Control Showcases Product Success at the IECA Southeast Chapter Field Day

Team members from CORE Erosion Control joined the Southeast Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) for its annual Field Day in Greenville, SC.

The event, attended by around 200 participants including state Departments of Transportation (DOT), engineers, municipalities, contractors and environmental professionals, offered a unique chance for CORE Erosion Control to demonstrate the effectiveness of its products directly to industry experts.

The day began with technical sessions where attendees explored best management practices (BMPs) for erosion control and sediment management. These sessions highlighted the critical role that advanced BMPs play in protecting the environment, as discussed in previous CORE Erosion Control articles that underscore the impact of sediment control on ecosystem preservation

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to hands-on demonstrations of erosion control products. CORE Erosion Control’s filter socks were put to the test at the TRI Testing Facility’s slope rainfall simulator, achieving exceptional results in sediment containment and slope stabilization.

“This was a real testament for our products to be witnessed by industry professionals,” CORE Regional Sales Manager and Certified Field Trainer Rob Lawson said.

With top-performing results, CORE’s filter socks further solidified their reputation as effective solutions for erosion and sediment control challenges.

The IECA Southeast Chapter Field Day draws attendees from a wide region, covering Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

The event’s mission is to educate industry stakeholders on innovative alternatives to traditional erosion prevention and sediment control BMPs.

Participants, including CORE Erosion Control and other vendors like Core & Main, Ferguson, Hanes, Cherokee Manufacturing, Green Rise Technologies, Green Resource and Western Green, had the opportunity to engage directly with decision-makers and showcase their solutions to a large audience.

For companies specializing in stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, Field Day presents a prime networking and marketing platform. Participating in events like these allows CORE Erosion Control and similar vendors to demonstrate leadership in the field and build meaningful connections within the industry.
